"So comfy looking, I want one in my size!" 2010-02-02

I borrowed this from a friend for several months. My baby was always happy to hang out in it. I didn't have the hanging toy bar (didn't know there was one), but it still was a great place to set her down safely. All the fabric was removable and washable and cleaned up nicely. I used this when I started feeding her solids since I didn't have a high chair, and she seemed able to swallow easily and her head was supported so it was easy for me to feed her without her bobbing around. I loved it. She seemed too heavy for it by 19 pounds. I had a regular (boring) bouncer of my own, but for the next baby I'll buy one of these for myself. Great bouncer.

"Ok, but wouldn't buy again" 2010-01-20
By L. R. Landi (California)
I bought this bouncer when my second daughter was born. The feature that, in my opinion, is the greatest asset is the deep seat and the dramatic recline. Honestly, there is nothing more troubling than seeing a newborn propped almost at a 90 degree angle with their chin to their chest. So, this bouncer made for a more relaxed sleep/rest position for a small baby or newborn.

One thing I hated was the toy car. Its flimsey, doesn't stay on (even just bumping the chair made it fall down in front of the baby or off entirely) and I found it a complete nuisance. I ended up throwing the toy bar away completely.

The other complaint I have is that the Boppy company must not have really tested out the padded insert well. While the head-rest has a piece of velcro to secure it in place, the actual insert that provides cushion on either side of the baby is free floating. Baby just slowly slides down in the seat. I had to make it common practice to pick my daughter up and scoot her bottom up higher in the chair for about every 20 minutes she was in it.

Overall, I don't have any major negative qualms with the bouncer. It served it's purpose. However, for $50 I do think there are BETTER options out there and will be purchasing a different bouncer for my third child.

"Great item for newborn up to 18 pounds" 2009-12-26
By S. Raynak (Pgh PA)
Our son loves these!! We have 2, one for downstairs (the blue model sold at BRU) and one for use in the bathroom (this one) while we are getting ready in AM. This one seems larger and more round than the Boppy blue one but both are great. This one is more papasan like. He has loved it since birth and is now almost 19# and 8.5 months old. He loves to nap in it now. We did have to remove the toy bar now as he likes to do pull-ups on it so not so safe now. He loved playing with the toys when he was younger though. The music and sounds are nice as is the vibration mode. This has made shower time and nap time so much easier in our household! Now if someone would only come up with one for older, heavier infants that would be great since weight limit is 25#. Great Item. I highly recommend the Boppy brand bouncers over other brands I have seen in use at friends houses.

"Great for newborns, lost it's luster" 2009-10-29
By Margaret Hopper (Dallas, Tx)
We have this in blue. This is what LO lived in for at least a month and the only place he would sleep. Now that he's older he just does not enjoy this bouncer with the intended purpose it has. For my son he could have just done with the boppy pillow and that be it.

Pro's: Soft feel, added support for younger babies, turns off after 20-30mins, bounces easily, and removeable toys and toy bar.

Con's: Not interested in the toys or the position in which they hang, incline is awkward (it's really upright), safety belt also awkward, not interested in the boring sounds or one setting vibration, really wide to get through door ways- most door ways I have to turn it side ways. The biggest annoyance is the price and I hate to say this quality. I have a bigger baby (he was 9lbs 21 1/4 in.) and at first floated on top of it like a lovely little baby. Now he sinks so far into it that he's close to hitting the ground and the seams look like they can rip (he hasn't reached the weight limit-- he's about 15lbs).

I regret spending the amount of money I did on this bouncer. I could have spent a loss less with one that is more interactive (fisher price) or the really neat First Years 3-1 kickin coaster. The Boppy company disappointed me this time.

 "$149??" 2009-08-29

I don't understand Amazon's price for this item. Babies R Us has it regular price for $54.99. I can always find such good deals at Amazon but I guess not this time. I will be definitely be buying it elsewhere. As I have not purchased this yet, the one star is for Amazon's price and not for the product itself.
