I might look a little funny but I get to swing my arms back and forth. I have a dog that I take with me on my runs ( to kill 2 birds with one ). So he gets strapped to my waist and then I have the adapter around my mid section. The only problem is that whne my dog pulls me to the side the strller goes to the side. I think the more I do it the better it will be.

All in all, it's a great idea and just needs some tweaking to make it a really great thing for runners with kids. I have been using it for about a month and it's definitely helpful but not perfect.

All my grievances with the StrollSmart may be affected by the fact that I am using it with a double jogger. (Admittedly, I have not tried it with a single so it might work just fine in that case.)



Here are the problems I've encountered while using it with the double.



1. I have to sort of run off center and use my pelvic bone to control the frame. This somewhat affects my gait but sot so much that I don't get a decent run. I've noticed when I only have 1 child in the stroller, it's a little better since I'm not compensating for weight distribution differences but I'm still running off-center.



2. This product is NOISY!!!! I run down the street and I can actually hear the squeaking over traffic and my iPod.



3. You simply cannot corner with this on. I have a fixed front wheel so turning requires some amount of lifting the stroller to a degree to turn. However, the StrollSmart is designed to break free from the frame with any twisting so when you try to corner, you need to use your hands or you and your stroller will soon be parted. Perhaps this wouldn't be an issue with a front wheel that pivots but most serious runners (which is who this product is geared toward) use a fixed-front while running.



Things I like:

1. The band is a good fit for both me and my husband. I also like the width. The velcro is strong and once fitted snugly does not unhook, slide or rub up and down. No chafing here!



2. I am able to do my short runs with the product, thus saving money on a sitter, getting my kids out for some air and showing the importance of fitness to my girls. I would never even attempt to do long runs with it, though, for the reasons stated above.



3. It works pretty well on very straight pathways where no turning is required.



4. It's adjustable to the height of the runner, again making it user-friendly for anyone who might like to run with your stroller besides you!



Bottom line, know why you're buying this product. If you think you're going to be out there pushing your kids through a 2 hour long run, you'll be disappointed but if you just want to make your 30 minute runs a little easier, it's a decent little gadget.
