"Perfect for use in a small home" 2010-06-03
By Carrie Yu (Seattle, WA)
When my kids were infants we had bouncy seats and swings that took up way too much floor space in our living room and that could not be stored away easily. I wish I'd had this Fold & Go Bouncer back then! This thing is another one of those brilliant "why did no one think of this sooner!" ideas. It's a fabulous bouncy seat for your baby, complete with hanging toys and vibrating seat, along with music and heartbeat or nature sounds. It even has a volume control. Very nice, with all the things that help soothe a fussy baby. BUT- the genius of this chair is that, with a couple of simple slides of buttons, the chair collapses and can be stashed away in the corner of a room or a closet or wherever. And, don't worry, the buttons would be hard to manage accidentally or for a child to do, so you don't have to worry about your toddler collapsing the chair while the baby is sitting in it.

The only minor thing that I wasn't crazy about was that the toy bar comes unsnapped from the seat pretty easily. That's only any issue if your baby is a little older and is capable of pulling the bar out. And it is actually a good thing for when you're trying to get your baby in and out of the seat- no trying to maneuver them below a toy bar, just unsnap it and lift the little one out.

Other reviews have noted that the seat doesn't recline enough for newborns- my kids are older, so I can't comment on that from personal experience. I wanted to go ahead and mention it though, so if you're using it with a newborn with poor neck control, just keep an eye on that.

 "Utterly fails in practice" 2010-05-31
By R. Voolst (Piscataway, NJ)
BUYER BEWARE: Most of the so-called "reviews" on this product page appear to be written by people who have not actually purchased the product for use. They are instead glib, glowing reviews gussied up by participants in an incentive-based program called "Amazon Vine" to help Amazon sell new products more quickly. I am deeply disappointed that what mis-leadingly sounded like an innovative product is poorly realized. This bouncer does NOT have two reclining positions and sits at a highly inclined angle. My seven-week-old son without neck control cannot relax in it comfortably and his head dangles forward. The seat belt is attached to the unit at the height of his shoulder, not his waist; my son is 95th percentile in height, so this is another example of head-scratching design. Additionally, the vibration unit causes the entire metal frame of the chair to rattle and buzz very loudly. The final inconvenience is that the "three ambient sounds" that are advertised will automatically cycle themselves one after the other every couple of minutes. The only thing this chair does well and sensibly is collapse to a very portable form, perhaps for perpetual storage in the closet where it will never be used again. Not recommended.

"An Excellent "Bouncy Chair" for the Money" 2010-05-27
By Donald P. Martin Jr. (Concord, NH)
New to parenting? This is one device that is a must for at least, say, eight months of your baby's first year, probably more. This is a very portable, easy to store, commendably-built bouncer. It is comfy, easy to clean, and great for napping. I wish I had an adult-sized one.

The vibration-mode works like a charm, and there are different sounds of nature and music to softly lull the baby to sleep. Semi serious here; note that this bouncer doesn't have a pogo-stick in it and will bounce your baby all over the place by itself (LOL)... it is a kinetic engine and uses your baby's movements to bounce him/her gently about.

It requires a couple of AA batteries; if I recall, there were a couple that came with the seat/chair/bouncer, but they didn't live long compared to the good batteries available in stores.

We just bought one of these for our friend who is expecting her first very soon, so we highly recommend it! :^)

"Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer" 2010-05-27
By Deborah J. Sloan (Wiley, Colorado)

You can't believe how excited I am to tell you about the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer! Every mother of an infant is going to want one of these for their baby! With Moyra, Amelie, and River now we have gone though other bouncers and this one is the best by far!

This is the first time that River has actually been happy being placed in a bouncer. Mommy was able to cook and eat dinner for the first time without a crying baby to hold. That alone was a big plus and let us know that River was comfortable and happy in the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer. Before we got this one she would do nothing but cry and want to be held all the time. She didn't like her other bouncer at all so it was no help even having it. But thanks to the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer she and Mommy can both have peaceful moments at dinner time and throughout the day as well. Eight weeks of constantly holding baby has not been convenient at times though we love to hold her.

The cover was very easy to just slip right on and the soft toy bar just snapped right into place and comes with two soft toys for baby to play with. Even though River is only 8 weeks old, this is the first time that her little arms and hands have tried to move to a toy. I'm not saying she was actually reaching for them but she did manage to bump them and make them move so it's a start on her coordination training - another plus. But what is very cool about the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer is the Vibration Sound unit that it comes with to give baby comfort which slips right onto the bar at the front of the bouncer. Using 3 AA batteries(not included) to give vibrations, sounds, or music to sooth baby with easy to understand buttons and an on off switch. The music consists of 3 tunes to choose from and are all pretty soft tunes baby will like with a soft and a louder volume. The vibration seemed a bit too strong to me, but I know some babies like that. What we really loved are the sounds. There are two white noise strengths to choose from, one sounds like a soft wind almost and one other that I really can't describe but it is a bit louder(just a bit), like the whoosh inside the womb. The very favorite is the heart beat! It's so neat to hear it and it very soft for baby's ears. We'll be using this one a lot I can tell.

The very best part of the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer is that it folds right up to take it with you anywhere you go! To grandma's, to the gym, to the Library anywhere you need to be you can take this with you and baby. In fact the first night we had it we took it with us to a home decor party a friend was having and the moms there were amazed by the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer too. They loved that it folded right up so flat.

Really, moms if you want the best bouncer the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer is the one! You'll wonder how you ever survived without one!

 "bouncing mechanism horrible" 2010-05-19
By F. najimi (new york)
the idea of this chair is wonderful but I needed it to take along with me so i can bounce my daughter in it so she can sleep. the Bouncing mechanism of this chair is very rigid and not soothing at all. the chair itself is attractive and neutral but didnt serve the purpose I needed it for. The travel bouncer from One Step Ahead is great.
