We are the parents of a baby boy who has reflux issues. We have to thicken his formula (7 tsp's rice + 3 scoops of formula) We've gone to great lengths to find a mixer that works while eliminating air bubbles. Though this mixer did exactly that, we had to replace this mixer weekly and sometimes even more frequently than that! Every 3 days sometimes! We've been spending $30 + tax a month to keep this mixer as a staple product that we only use 7 times a day. HELLO PRINCE LIONHEART, MOM'S NEED DEPENDABLE PRODUCTS BECAUSE WE USE THEM A MILLION TIMES A DAY!!! ESPECIALLY IN FORMULA PREPARATION! We are finished with this mixer!!! The motor is SO cheap, isn't powerful enough, and when we have to replace this mixer so often it's just not worth the hassle! Do not buy this mixer unless you want to have to replace it often. Most hand held mixers are cheap and we are still looking for a solution. No wonder Prince Lionheart doesn't offer a money back guarantee or we would get every penny back for every mixer we HAD to buy because they were crappy in the first place. The 'new mixers' by munchkin suck worse than these do. We bought a different mixer today at the vitamin shoppe and hopefully it works out for us.

I think baby monitors are like tv antennae--one isn't going to work in every situation, it is very conditional. That said, this works great for us. I love the temp reading. There isn't much I can do right now in the summer but it helps me know that i need to dress the baby as lightly as I can. Our house gets very cold before the building heat comes on in the fall so I think it will be really helpful for that. We have a small apartment but it works in the apartment, down the hall, and in the stairwell. It is nice that it automatically finds an open channel so I don't have to deal with that. A great buy!

I'm almost eight months pregnant, and my husband and I bought this monitor about a month ago. We just recently moved to a bigger home, and one of the first things I wanted to do was make sure that we would get decent reception anywhere in the house with the parent monitor.



We bought this monitor after getting the Safety 1st Glow and Go monitor. I did not research that particular monitor at all before purchasing, but thought it would be a good buy. It said it was 900mHz and would get 400+ feet in range, and I liked that it also had a built in digital thermometer.. When we got it home and tried it out, though, we got it maybe 30-40 feet away, and it degraded into nothing but static and white noise on BOTH channels. Needless to say it was returned to the store the same day.



After some research, I decided to give this monitor a shot instead, even though I could not find any reviews online. The SecureSleep monitor gets great range! We can have it downstairs and the sound and reception are crystal clear. You don't have to worry about finding a clear channel as it automatically scans for and chooses the clearest one for you.



One of the great features about this monitor is the fact it has a built in thermometer. As our new place does not have AC, I wanted some way to monitor the temperature in the baby's room, and this is an easy way to do it. Both the baby unit and the parent unit digitally display the temperature in the baby's room, either in Fahrenheit or Celsius. (There's a switch on the back to use either one.) In addition to the digital reading, both units are backlit in either red, yellow, or blue: Red = too hot, Blue = too cold, Yellow = just right. It's a nice visual reading of the temperature for at night and/or in the dark. Plus, it functions as a night-light!



Another great thing is the parent unit has a rechargeable battery, so it comes with a charger. You can either have it plugged in wherever you are, or can carry it with you. It has a convenient clip on the back as well.



I could not be any happier with this purchase. We ended up buying it at our local Target (because I was anxious to try it out to see if I would need to find a better one), and the cost there was very comparable to what you would pay to purchase it online through Amazon. But as there were no reviews for this monitor, I decided to post a review so others would know what a great buy this is!

This little bouncer sure is cute. We have it in the wasabi green color and it is very cute and space-like with splayed metal legs. We actually have not used the MP3 player capabilities. The vibrating is good and strong and you can bounce the chair easily with your foot while baby vibrates. The construction of the toy loop is not perfect because it looks like a handle but IT IS NOT! It pulls off easily. Other than that, this is easy to put together (it took me 5 mins and I'm an idiot at these things) and quite effective with its strong vibration.

Although this chair does not "bounce" like one on the angled legs, this chair keeps my baby comfortable and happy. Now 3 months old, my baby has been digging this chair since he was born. He takes an afternoon snooze in it every once in a while. the design of the hammock style chair makes it really easy to set a sleeping baby down in without waking him up because it cuddles him just right. The lower incline is just enough to keep him from spiting his food back up too, which is s big problem for us after he eats.



The vibrating helped to calm him when we first brought him home from the hospital, but we rarely use it now. I do love the MP3 hook up though, I can play calming music for him anywhere, although the music on the chair isn't half bad, it doesn't last long. And the battery life isn't the greatest either, but it's still nice to have the capability.



My favorite thing about it is that the toys that come on the chair Velcro off, so I changed them out for strong contrasting image cards and my son LOVES to sit in the chair and look at and talk to them. I also add longer hanging toys for him to grab at. It's a chair that will definitely grow with our son and I would recommend it to anyone with a new one on the way, it has helped me finish chores and get meals on the table with great pleasure!

I initially loved this product. I liked the modern style and the light-weight structure, which allowed me to move it to another room using one hand. My son was able to sleep in it for short periods of time after falling asleep in our arms. Though my son was big for a 6 month old at 19 lbs. and in the 95th percentile for length, he was within the recommended weight limit of 25 lbs. One day I had him strapped into the chair with the belt on securely in the more upright position. I turned my back to him for about 10 seconds and he managed to pull the end of one strap and lean forward, which caused the chair to catapult forward. When I turned around, he was not moving and the chair was pinning him at his neck to the floor. He was still strapped into the seat, but the seat flipped forward. Luckily, he takes after the men in my family and has a hard head. He only bruised his forehead, but this could have been a lot worse. After inspecting the base of the seat, I realized that there is nothing keeping the base of the soft seat from being pulled forward and reversing. I would not recommend using this bouncer.

I have the "boy" version of this saucer, but I don't see it listed on Amazon at the moment. I had this for my son who is now 2 years old. We started using this when he was three months old up until he was in the late crawling/walking phase (around 1 year old).



PROS: I love the toys. They are durable and very diverse. The ball slide really captivated his attention when he got older and really helps with hand-eye coordination. It is very sturdy. Assembly was not overly complicated.



CONS: It is big and bulky. It does not fold or collapse. It is also very hard to clean around the toys. The toys are not detachable, so to get in all the nooks and crannies makes things difficult. I had thought when I purchased this that it would last with the "walk behind" feature. That feature was not very well received by my son or my friend's child who used it after him.



This saucer was not only used by our son, but passed on to a friend's child and we just got it back for my second child, who is now 3 months old. I had it asembled and put my 3-month old daughter in it with a blanket supporting her back, and she was smiling at cooing. My 2 year old son is also re-discovering it, using the balls and he is playing with the ball features around the legs, which gets him out of my 3-month old's face (he LOVES her in a smothering type of way).



However, I am searching Amazon now for another saucer. This one is definately high-dollar but since we are limited on space and overgrown with kids toys now, I want something more compact and easy to fold. I also would like to find toys that are easier to clean around. A family member has the Evenflow system and I really like how it folds and the detachable toys. So, although the toys on this saucer are much more interesting and very durable, I am probably going to replace it for a cheaper, more durable version.



Remember when pricing out saucers that you are going to get maybe 9 months of wear out of it, and once they are mobile they would rather be on-the-go!!!!

 "Broke the second time we used it." 2009-12-07

I did a lot of research and after seeing the good mention in the Baby Bargains book we got this stroller for our 11 month old. It was easy to setup, just pop on the wheels and cup holder. The recline is very simple to use, it's basically just a drawstring and pulley system. I didn't love the way it folded up, you have to push in metal tabs with your thumbs - it always hurt when I did it. Our daughter loved the oversized sun shade and when it was real windy we just put it in front of her and it blocked her whole body. The second time we used it the buckle would not come apart. We had to take off her pants to get her out of the stroller. Even with her out the buckle still won't disengage. I had to send it back and can't risk getting another one. My mom (her nanny) thought the first time we used it that the buckle was too hard for her arthritic fingers to push to unlatch.

I just received my stroller today and I got the green color... This looks and feels like a well made, good quality stroller. I put my 4 month old and test drove around the house and he fell asleep in 5min. OPens and closes easily and I cant wait to take it on the town. I would prefer this stroller to taller people. I am 5'8 and this is perfect for me, but if I was a little shorter, I think it would eat me up. :) beautiful design, beautiful color, beautiful features. I love it. Definately worth the money. Just think of it like this: every time you go out and use it, you would have to go out 17 times 10$ each. Definately beats buying those cheap other brands of umbrella strollers. The stroller is okay (wheels are kind of cheap plastic), but I took issue with the fact that the green stroller the "Maddy" was not anywhere close to the picture shown in the UppaBaby stock photos. The photos show a muted pleasant green color--the actual green on the stroller is jarringly bright, almost neon green. Further, the green on the mesh stroller seat doesn't even match the green on the canopy or the back of the canopy. I called UppaBaby about this and they told me that it was just my computer monitor causing the computer discrepancy.



Particularly since this stroller isn't widely available in retail stores in many parts of the country, UppaBaby should have done a better job of having the pictures reflect the actual color of the stroller.

I started using this stroller before my daughter could sit up on her own. The reclining seat is awesome. This is very portable. If you plan on traveling with it I might recommend getting the bag. I love it.

Bought this glider/ottoman combo for my wife as she is expecting our first child. We looked around a few stores at their glider's and weren't exactly thrilled with what we saw. Some were rather expensive for what you got, and others weren't very comfortable.

We decided that since there wasn't one we saw that we just had to have, that we might as well look online and find the best value. This glider assembled easily and looks good, we really like the espresso finish. I am definitely no fan of the micro-fiber, but there aren't a lot of other options for gliders. My wife really enjoys it, and she's the one it's for, so her opinion counts the most. She is 5'4" and fits her very well. It has grown on me, but is a bit narrow and I would prefer a slightly taller back (I'm only 5'10", so might be a problem for taller people). The locking mechanism is actually a nice feature and works well. We did try some that reclined that in retrospect was a nice feature that this glider does not have.

The ottoman is fairly basic, and does not have a nursing tray that slides out as some other ottomans had. That seemed to be another nice feature that is lacking.

Overall, it is a decent glider & ottoman. For the money, this is a good purchase. I don't regret buying it, I just wish there were better options out there.

comfortable but the wood of the back broke soon, after two days from assemble. what a shame!I didn't call the productor, wrap the broke place with tape instead.

after all, it is comfortable and my baby and me both like it,day and night.

This is a really a great chair, the only complaints we have with it is that it could be larger and the ottoman could be higher.



The seat is approximately the size of an economy class airline seat. It's just fine for us because I'm petite and my husband is very tall and slim, so he fits in it too, but if you have a sturdier build, it might be a bit cozy for you. The ottoman that comes with this chair could be a little higher. Most ottomans are either at, or close to the height of the chair seat and this one is definitely lower. It's not uncomfortable, just a little strange. While the back height is perfect for me to rest my head on (I'm 5'6"), it hits my 6ft 4 husband at the top of his shoulders and it would be nice if the back were tall enough that he could rest his head on the back too since the chair is so comfortable it would put anyone to sleep!



All in all though, we're very happy with this chair. We did a lot of research before buying this chair and Shermag, along with Dutalier, is one of the top manufacturers for rocker gliders. Shermag was also recommended in the latest edition of the Baby Bargains book (kind of like a consumer reports for baby products). The setup was literally about 15 minutes and the cushions are very comfy. The gliding mechanism is incredibly smooth and the materials appear to be high quality.



A couple of nice aspects about this chair that I didn't know before we got it were that 1)you can lock the chair so it can't glide at all 2)you can lock the chair into a couple of "reclined" positions as though you're in a recliner although this feature seems a little strange to me since without an attached foot support like a regular recliner then your legs sort of dangle.



All in all, great chair great quality!
