I nannied off and on for 10 years before having my son. During that time, I made a mental list of what items were worth spending big bucks on. In my opinion, from your baby's perspective, the $100 bouncer is no nicer than this one. It does the job just fine, is durable, and not over-stimulating like so many of today's more expensive brands. I put it together in less than 10 minutes. I've never felt like it was going to "dump the baby out" as one reviewer mentioned. I'm not sure if they had a defective bouncer or what because I can't even imagine what they were talking about. My little guy loves this chair. I knocked off one star because the bouncer I received from Amazon did not come with the music function listed in the product description. Although I feel less is more in the world of baby toys (and actually am happier that it lacked music), I didn't appreciate the false advertising.

THE GOOD:



**Cute - Nice color and I love seeing my little one in it. :)



**Ease of portability - Extremely lightweight yet really sturdy. It's easy to pick up and move around to places like on the big couch in lvg rm, bed, floor opposite kitchen, etc.) EVEN while he's in it. Love that I can do my chores while he hangs out with me.



**Thumbs up for Arc of hanging toys - When I first bought this, I would just leave the arc of hanging toys off because my baby wasn't old enough to appreciate them. Now that he's 9 weeks he really seems to be enjoying the toys!



**Baby enjoys being in it - My son loves this bouncer. He watches me from it but most of the time he just sits quietly in it, checking out the "scenery". He likes to kick his feet, smile, and "talk" to me from it as well! :)



**Hands-free care - Also found I can "bounce" his bouncer with my foot by gently nudging the frame up and down while I do computer work or check emails, etc. Invaluable for getting stuff done WHILE he's awake.



THE BAD:



**Hanging Arc of toys is NOT a handle - I was a little frustrated about this at first but then I realized you could pick up the bouncer from the metal base. The arc is really just for toys and nothing else. IMO, this issue is hardly consequential as this product gives such great value for the money.



OVERALL:



Awesome buy. You might be tempted but try not to leave your baby in this for too long!! LoL

this item is priced right and does the job. it does sit up right so don't put a light weight infant in it. I put my son in it at 1 month and he was about 11 pounds. it is great when your baby is a bit bigger so they can see their surrounding.

I know some people feel they need only the most expensive baby items they can or sometimes cannot afford, but as a first time grandmother I felt I knew better. In regards to Bright Starts Bouncing Buddies Cradling Bouncer I felt vindicated! It vibrates, it bounces and most importantly, baby loves it! It doesn't cost an arm and a leg so I was able to get more items for the baby. Wonderful product!

I bought this bouncy seat for my babysitter. The one we have at home was twice as expensive and our daughter (3 months) seems to like them equally. The quality is just fine -- nothing special, but it does what it is supposed to do, and you can't beat the $25 price tag! My biggest complaint is the the toy bar comes off very easily. With the Fisher Price seat that I have at home, I can pick it up to move it by the toy bar (without the baby in it). I can't do that with this seat -- the bar pops right off.

I was given this seat as a gift, and wasnt too sure of how well the product was, because at the time I had not heard of Bright Stars. When our preemie daughter was first placed in it she was not heavy enough to weigh it down(4 lbs) and we had to wait a while, but since she "got her weight up" she and we are totally in love with this chair. I take it everywhere when we go visiting. The cover is easily cleaned too and it was fairly easy for my husband to assemble. The only cons I have it the bar is too close to her now that she is bigger, and its hard to take her in and out with it on, but we've just tossed it over to the side anyway(very easily removed) since she is starting to play with her own little rattles and stuff now. And the other problem which is a major problem is that the bar in the back comes out after a little wear and tear. I learned the hard way by placing my daughter in and she fell back and hit her head. It only took me once and I constantly check it before I place her in, although Ive only had that problem once. My daughter also likes the vibration but the music is useless. but the fact that it will turn itself off after a while is good because I will forget at times. My daughter is 6 months old and we havent had to replace the battery yet thanks to this feature. I would recommend this product to a friend.

I purchased this bouncer for my baby girl who is 2mths. old now. In beginning she just relaxed in it, however over the course of the past few weeks she's started to notice the toys on the bar more and interacts (smiles at, hits the rattle, etc.)with them. It keeps her entertained long enough for me to get a chore or two done, depending on the type of day she's having. She seems to like the music and vibration features (also dependant on the type of day she's having).



Assembly did not take more than 1/2 hour and the fabric seems pretty durable and is machine washable.



I would recommend this product because it gets the job done and is not quite as expensive as other brands that pretty much do the same thing.

When I got it I wasnt sure if the bouncer was goin to keep my little one occupied real well because of the lack of color in the attatchments. She loves the bouncer and so far has been a life saver for a fusy baby.
