My daughter can't take the table off herself, A+. It is very easy to clean, store, and adjust. So comfortable she naps in it often with an easy tip back of the seat, it's a breese.

I understand this is comfortable and a great high chair. I know a lot of reserch was put into this prior to my daughter-in law suggesting to buy this particular brand.

I am thrilled that they are happy with the high chair.

By Simon Baror (NY, USA)
I have his chair, as well as the Inglesina Zuma. The Zuma is uncomfortable for my baby (4 months). The Zuma is not big especially to the width, and it seems he will out grow it by a year. the Peg Perego is big and he enjoys to sit in it more- more padding, wide, so he can move around a little, etc. the only thing I am neutral on is the leather seat. It is easy to clean, however he sweats when he is in it. I put a cloth where his head goes, and that works.

Solid high chair, baby probably feels like he or she is in a leather recliner! Real easy to use, with safe features. It is more expensive than the other ones, but looks really good in the home.

"The perfect travel stroller without losing beloved necessities." 2010-01-25
By C. Caballero (San Francisco, CA)

Everyone has needs that need to be met when choosing a stroller. One's must-have features are not necessarily someone else's. Here are mine and these are the reasons I purchased the Peg Perego Si stroller:

1) Handlebar adjustability. My husband is almost a foot taller than me so this feature is a necessity for either of us to participate in pushing our little one.

2) Lightweight. I must be able to load the folded stroller with one hand into the car trunk.

3) One-hand fold. I need to be able to fold the stroller in 5 seconds or less, with one hand and stand upright (see #4).

4) Must stand when folded. We travel quite a bit with different climates and terrains. In and out of subways and buses, wheeling in and out of airport terminals. For such a price, I shouldn't have to bend to pick up or try to look for a spot to lean the stroller against. We've folded this stroller with snow, rain and mud on the ground and our stroller has remained clean because it remains upright when folded.

5) Carriage space. We usually travel expecting to be out the entire day seeing sites and sounds. This means we need to be prepared for climate changes and food needs. We usually pack layered clothing and a light folding ice chest when out and about. Of course, there's the usual travel maps, travel books, my own jacket and souvenirs purchased throughout the day.

6) Canopy coverage. A good stroller canopy must cover the eyes even when the sun is low on the horizon.

7) Rain cover. Most strollers come with fitted rain covers. If not, there are generic rain covers that can be purchased. Rain cover also acts as a wind shield for those very breezy days.

8) One hand push. Depends on the pusher's habits. I drink coffee when I push the stroller so I sometimes push with one hand. Not a dealbreaker though.

9) Must be able to fold with a stroller blanket attached. A lot of strollers cannot fold with the stroller blanket attached (like say JJ Cole blankets). The nature of the fold requires that nothing is in the seat otherwise, it's too thick for the latching mechanism to lock. I find that installing and uninstalling the blanket every time we use it would be a pain. Most of the people I have spoken with who have blankets with strollers which cannot fold with the blanket end up chucking the blanket. They just end up using a blanket that's not attached to the stroller. Then their child ends up pulling or kicking off the blanket.

10) Reclines to flat or almost flat. I like strollers that fold almost flat because I use it in lieu of a changing room, particularly when there is a line into the changing room. I have found this to be an extremely useful feature.

11) Must not tilt back when stroller has no occupant and there's a heavy diaper bag hanging on the handlebars.

Early this month, at the beginning of Jan. 2010, we went on a trip to DC. It just so happened that the Arctic wind decided to blow over the East Coast with record low temperatures and high winds. Lucky us. While my husband attended conferences, I was left with our son doing day trips to the museums and monuments/memorials. Up and down the elevators, escalators, pushing on icy, snowy sidewalks on 29F degree weather accompanied with high winds. Appropriately dressed, my son sat snugly in his stroller inside a stroller blanket, an ice chest for his milk and snacks tucked neatly underneath and a diaper bag hanging on the back for a full day's worth of supplies. Plus, all the museums we visited had security checks (DC and all) so I had to remove our stuff, run them through the security x-ray, fold the stroller quickly with the blanket, run it through x-ray, unfold and re-load gear and my son on it. PIECE OF CAKE!

This is an excellent travel stroller. Heck, this is an excellent stroller - travel or not. What a great addition to our baby gear. I am extremely happy with this purchase. While this is not our only stroller, this is our de facto travel stroller and will be until our son outgrows it. I am looking forward to taking our son and this stroller to more adventurous trips. Awesome job, Peg Perego. Keep it up!

"Fantastic! Meets all my requirements!" 2009-12-15
By Bookworm
I love the Si! It is the perfect lightweight stroller and can be used from birth and up. It has a full recline and my baby is extremely comfortable in it. The basket is spacious unlike the Maclarens which have a tiny basket that you cannot reach. It also have a decent sun cover and looks great. I picked this after researching strollers for nearly six months, and I am super happy with it.

"Wonderful, after much research this was it!" 2009-11-16
By Samster Mom (Washington DC)
I never take the time to leave reviews but for this stroller I'll gladly take the time. I spent forever trying out and researching different light weight umbrella type strollers. It came down to this and the Maclaren. (which in light of the recent maclaren recall I'm even gladder I choose the Si!) I chose the Si because it was sturdier but still about the same weight. I could put my purse and diaper bag on the handles without tipping the whole thing over. That did not work with the Maclaren. My favorite part however is the one handed release function. I am constantly grateful I bought this stroller when I'm in the mall parking lot trying to get the baby and shopping bags in the car as soon as possible and when it's time to close the stroller I just pull the little latches and up on the handle with one hand. SO EASY!

It's a bit pricey but I say well worth the investment, definitely good enough to last through several kids!

"Great combo of portability & comfort" 2009-09-16
By C. Shaham (Westchester, NY)
This is the 3rd stroller I have used with my baby (we have a jogging one at home for trips/parks, a light umbrella Inglesina stoller I keep in my car trunk for quick trips, and this is the one the grandparents have when we visit them in California), and it has the best combination of portability with comfort features.

PROS: Easy fold & open (although takes a little practice if you're used to a classic Maclaren type fold). Strong wheels make for a smooth ride even over semi tough terrain (although not in the woods or hiking, like my jogging stoller can actually do, it did go over park grass and little rocks well and is very smooth on pavement). 5-point restraint keeps the little guy inside (I tried the PegPerego Aria in the store, whose restraint system is scary- it just comes out of the seat! this one does NOT). Stylish. LARGE hood to cover baby from the sun in 3 different positions. Reclines almost flat (or 2 other seat back positions). Big basket underneath (held 3 water bottles, sweaters, diapers, changing pad, toys all at once). Water bottle holder. Stands up on its own when folded! Does NOT fall over when heavy diaper bag was placed on the handles & there was no baby in the stroller. Foot rest goes down for dangling feet, or folds and locks in a flat position for a sleeping baby to rest his feet. One step peddle to lock/unlock both back wheels. Large seat for gorwing toddler. Handles have 3 sizes for different heighted stroller pushers, so nobody kicks the wheels.

CONS: Quite a bit bigger than an umbrella stroller when folded, although still smaller than other strollers- took up a lot more space in my car trunk then the Inglesina, but a lot less than the jogging stroller. Under-seat basket is large, but made of some flexible material, so you can not put heavy stuff underneath or the basket scrapes against the ground :(. Cup holder holds bottled drinks or keys or a small toy, but not coffee cups. You have to use 2 hands to recline the seat (clicking both sides while pushing down the seat back).

Overall this is a great compromise stroller for comfort (both for you and baby) and portability. I highly reccomend anyone thinking of getting a new stroller to take their baby to a big store and trying out as many strollers as possible before making your decision.

Of note, my baby started using this when he was already 11 months old, so I never tried it with a car seat. In retrospect, I would have gotten this one stroller instead of the 2 I use at home, but hind sight is 20/20.

 "WASTE OF MONEY" 2009-10-11
By M. Craighead (Bay Area, CA)
We bought the Peg Perego without doing much research when we had our son. Big mistake. [...]. For whatever reason the stroller will not turn good. It takes all my power to get it to turn. We have the 2008 model so maybe they have fixed that problem, but for all the problems ours had I doubt they fixed everything. We also boutht the carseat to go with it. Very safe, good reviews but extremely heavy. I am 5'7" and it was a struggle for me to lift it in and out of the car.

But without getting off the topic of the stroller, I can't warn buyers enough out there at what a waste of money this stroller is.

"Great stroller, practical and not so heavy - folds perfectly." 2009-09-26
By Juliana De Carvalho (Italy)
Wow, I loved this stroller. I have searched and looked at every stroller possible. I went to shops to see them personally - Initially I wonted one of those with 3 wheels they are so cool and really delightful to push around, but they are huge - really HUGE! In my small apartment and not so big car, that thing wouldn't fit. So I found the Peg Perego under the advice of a friend who's just had her third baby and is still using the same Peg Perego stroller!!! My daughter now is almost 9 months and the stroller is great, I just had to put some oil in the wheels once, I probably should wash the lining, but I've been getting by with just cleaning it with a damp cloth. It's great, folds great, goes in the trunk easily, and is not so heavy as almost all the others I have seen. I have it in red but it's a different shade from this, it's beautiful!

"Very practical and stylish. Also get the matching parasol" 2009-06-07
By BlancheNiege (Skokie, IL)
This is my 3rd child after having a 9 and 7 year old. And even after all these years, I've come back to this stroller. I had a very similar stroller back then (Peg doesn't carry anymore since it's over 9 years ago) but has similar functionality. What I enjoy most is it's ease of use, portability and styling. Although this is slightly bulkier than my old Peg Perego it's light and small enough that I don't foresee buying even an umbrella stroller. I also purchased a matching parasol and it is such an adorable stroller that rivals the more pricier and impractically designed strollers out there.

Enjoy it!

"Glad we ante'd up and bought this stroller!" 2009-05-27
By Mrs. M (San Diego, CA)
We researched LOTS of strollers, and ended up buying this one. What a great purchase! Yes, it's expensive...but I use it almost every day. It's easy to fold up and un-fold. I love the handle extenders, too. I didn't think I'd need them (I'm 5'8"), but I found myself kicking the wheels on my way out of the grocery store the other day. A quick push of the button, and presto!, the handles were longer. I love the way my daughter (1 year old) sits in it like a regular seat (although you can adjust the incline easily) and how the tray easily snaps in and out of place. The break is easy to apply with 1 foot, and the wheels swivel to turn without effort (unless I lock them) even when I'm only pushing the stroller with one hand (because I'm carrying something in the other hand). The material is really nice, too.

Customer Buzz
 "We love this seat!" 2009-06-02
By Wiffee (Utah)
We bought this seat for our first child in 2008 because of the side-impact protection. The seat is great! It is sturdy, easy to install in the car, easy to put on and remove from the base and I am confident my son is safe in it. We have had no problems with it.

There are a few cons, though:

1) It is really, really heavy. We stopped taking it out of the car regularly last month because it is so heavy with the baby in it. Even with a 6lb newborn I found the seat heavy for me to carry when the baby was in it and I jostled it a lot heaving it to and from the car.

2) If you have the Peg stroller, it takes a bit to get used to clicking it properly onto the stroller.

Unlike an earlier reviewer, we have not had any problems with it falling off the stroller. However, we always give it a tug after hearing the "click" to make sure it is properly attached as it is possible to only attach one "latch" to the stroller and not have the other hooked which makes listening for the "click" as proof it is properly attached deceptive.

3) It seems to be uncomfortable for wider babies. My son is 6 months old and only 17 1/2 lbs but he is wide. He loved this seat when he was younger, but the sides seem to be getting tight on him now and he fusses when we put him in it. We are already searching for a convertible seat that might be more comfortable for him. I don't know if I can blame the seat for this, though. I think we would have this same problem with any other infant seat.

4) The seat is hot. It wasn't a problem during the winter months, but now that summer is here my son is sweaty every time I take him out of the seat. The seat needs some kind of ventilation.

We did not experience any problems with the seat cutting our son's legs, however, we received the replacement piece about a week after our baby was born.

 "HEAVY!" 2009-02-26
By NICU Nurse (Arkansas)
This car seat has great, user friendly features. It has an easy to use base with easy to use LATCH system. The strap adjustment is very easy - you just use a slider to move them up or down. The only bad part (besides how ridiculously expensive it is!) is that it is like carrying a boat anchor around (without your child in the seat!). Try a Chicco instead!

"A great car seat indeed" 2009-01-09

We used this car seat until recently switching to the Maxi Cosi Priori. The Peg Perego was totally great! No complaints at all. We switched because baby reached the weight limit on this seat. We traveled with it several times. It held up in the airline cargo and is very safe and stable.

 "Love this car seat!!!" 2009-01-05
By Melissa S. Killebrew
My son loves his car seat and so do I. Yes, it is a little bit heavier than the Graco I had with my daughter (now 6) but this seat is so much safer. My son does not have any trouble sitting in the seat, is not uncomfortable in it, and if the seat is installed properly there should not be a problem with tipping forward. It is easy to get in and out of the car and on and off the base. We have a base in each car and that makes everything easier. I also have the Aria stroller (both in the green bubbles) and I get tons of compliments. It can be tricky getting the car seat to click on the stroller but we're getting used to it. The "horse blinders" do not bother my son who is now 3 months old and I can see how they would keep his head safer in an accident. I am glad the seat goes up to 30 pounds as it should last us the year. I was nervous getting the car seat after reading all of the negative reviews on here but I have been very happy with it.

I can use the cover to place a cover to protect our baby from the sun. Also, when I take her to the mall, I can keep the cover, one to keep the noise out and second it gives me some level of comfort from sick people breathing on her.  "Works fine." 2009-10-30
By TP (Chicago)
For any multi-car family, it's great to have a spare car seat base for the convenience. There's not much to say about features, except that it does the job, `nuff said!

The seat is a little pricey, but if you shelled out for the Peg Perego infant seat, you probably knew what you were getting into. Despite the price, I'd definitely buy it again.

Made in Italy, good craftsmanship.

Over 80% of infant car seats are installed incorrectly. Do your baby and yourself a favor and have your car seat installation inspected by an NHTSA-certified inspector. Find a free inspection location at [...] I used the site to find a local police station with an NHTSA-certified officer that verified the installation for both my family cars.

It feels very sturdy even when my daughter moves a lot like if she were jumping.

The wheels are very soft on the floor and the material is extremely easy to clean, it really doesn't matter that is white!!! Some crumbs may get into the corners of the seat, but nothing that can't be cleaned in five seconds.

The tray is a little hard to get out, but I guess that's for security reasons and with a little practice it gets easier every day. On the other hand it doesn't get as close to the baby's body as in other chairs, so it leaves a couple inches where food can fall, but I've solved the issue using a bib with front pocket.

 "Baby Hates It" 2009-09-28

I just bought one and the baby HATES it. He won't sit on it for more than 5 minutes. And it looks uncomfortable and to put the chair into other modes (rocker) isn't smooth. For an expensive baby product, it's not that great.

"Finally Found What I Was Looking For..." 2009-09-05

I had a very difficult time finding the "perfect" highchair (which I've decided doesn't exist), but this comes pretty close. I had been watching the reviews and reading about this chair long before it came out, and since I didn't think it would be released in time to use with my youngest, I went ahead and bought the Chicco Polly highchair. I hate it. I know most people love it, but I hate it for many reasons - the main one being because the T-bar is attached to the tray. So, we bought the less expensive and more cute-sy Fisher-Price Rainforest highchair. Definite cute, nice toy, but flimsy, cheap, and bad fabric. So, my search continued. I ran across this highchair online and realized that it would, in fact, be released right around when I would need it. I pre-ordered it, and finally received in on Tuesday. Right out of the box, I was impressed! What I like about it: (1) the seat material is very soft, leather-like, and easy to clean, (2) I was able to make all adjustments without ever opening the manual (all levels and buttons are red), (3) the t-bar is attached to the seat (although there is a protrusion on the bottom of the tray so it doesn't sit flat on a counter), (4) the snap-on tray top covers the entire top of the tray, with no exposed edges or gaps to get food under, (5) it makes a great swing/recliner, (6) it folds easily and compactly, (7) the seat and footrest recline together, (8) it's just plain cool looking! What I don't like: (1) the swinging radius isn't very big - it's more of a rock than a swing, (2) the tray, when pushed as far towards the child as possible, still leaves a couple inches where food can fall onto baby, and (3) there is a protrusion on the underside of the tray that prevents it from laying flat on a table. For the functionality and coolness factor, I can live with the three things I dislike, and I still think it's a 5-star highchair/baby swing(rocker)/recliner. My son loves it and seems very comfortable in it and 5 months and 16 lbs, and that's what really matters. I think I'm going to splurge and buy the 2009 Tatamia Accessory Pack in Orange, but all I really want is the toy bar - I don't "need" the soft cover or sunshade. All in all, I highly recommend. I'll post more pictures once my camera battery is charged...
