The design of this seat is beautiful, but I'm kind of frusturated with how poorly it keeps my daugher in the seat. She's only two, but can easily undo the buckels and get out all by herself. I was hoping to find a seat that would keep her in place while I'm getting dinner ready!

My 18 month old son is very independent and very intent on being a big boy sooner than later. So the high chair had to go. I bought this booster not only because it's less bulky and more attractive than others, but I also really liked the strap system, it appeared to be just what my son needs. We have been using this booster for over a month now and we have no complaints. It is easy to clean, easy to use, and my son seems to enjoy it as well. The only thing that I can say is that there is a space between the base of the seat and the cushion that does collect food, although it is still relatively easy to clean, I would prefer that these be attached with a closed seem.

I purchased this booster for about 3 weeks. I only used it for a week because the color came off from the booster. I saw my daughter's legs has brown color small tiny pieces stuff. I asked the customer service from the store and they pushed the buyer to deal with the manufacture. I am still waiting for their answer for return.

Our son, a 20 mo old big boy, doesn't really like this seat. He never seems to be able to sit up straight, and always slides forward. I played with the straps, but they either pull on this shoulders or his thighs if they're too tight, or let him slide forward. I wish they made it with a little bump underneath the thighs to keep him snuggle in the seat. He still prefers the high chair. But being a booster seat, I still have hopes that it will be useful one day.

It's very easy to take on and off the chair, however it's bulky to take around; so we bought a foldable one to take with us when we go to other people's houses, or for a picnic.

The material is nice a squishy and it was easy for me to clean it (but it hasn't been fully tested with lots of food and milk).

So, until he grows up a little I would rate it a 3 star, and hope it will be more useful later on.

Update: he is now 23 months old, and he sits very well on it! He seems very comfortable too.

So I guess it should be used as a booster, and not to replace a high chair for a small toddler

I purchased this seat for my son to use as a "travel" high chair. It truly attaches to any kind of seat & provides several buckles which are also very easy to attach. My son seemed to find the seat comfortable. The Musty Booster seat is very safe, and your child will fit securely in the seat. The only problem with the seat is that it is a bit large & not always easy to carry from place to place.

 "Mutsy Highchair Clear" 2010-01-15
By Inga Bukharova (New York, NY USA)
I got the Mutsy Highchair, because I in general like all Mutsy products. My daughter began using highchair at 4 months. One of the features that I love the most is a booster seat, which supports her back and holds her in securely. The first time I placed her in it I could see her eyes light up from excitement of sitting on her own. The tray does not move or slide easily, but I believe it is a good thing because again makes it more secure. The chair is extremely easy to assemble, light weight, sturdy and easy to clean. And of course it will last...

i have twins and this highchair has been great! i have been using it since they were 6 months old and am still using it with the comfy seat boosters just on a lower setting - i have big kids and i never had a problem with them fitting in the chairs - the tray does not come off but as far as i'm concerned it's two less things to wash, because the chair is so sleek there is not many nooks for food to get into so clean up is a breeze - i also think the amazon price now is great as i know i paid full price when it first came out....i highly recommend this chair

"Note on the color green" 2009-02-25
By Designer
Just wanted to make a note on the color of mutsy's "green":

I have seen the easygrow green represented in so many different shades on various websites. I even have the book "Designed for Kids" that features the chair (Where the green was completely off). I just assumed that the people running these websites went Photoshop crazy and pushed the color to their liking.

The color on Amazon appears almost turquoise but in reality it is almost that minty green from the 80's (just a little more vibrant).

Other than that ....great chair!

"Love the looks of it, and now also the use of it..." 2009-01-14
By Liat Shamash (new york, new york United States)
I registered for this high chair before we had the baby and chose it solely for the looks of it.

now that my son turned 6 months we assembeled the high chair, which was a very easy and fast task.

The chair was indeed gorgeous, but I really was disappointed when I found out the tray wasn't opening. It was really hard at first to get the baby in and out of the chair(especially with the seat reducer for infants). I was ready to return it, but then i used another high chair that has the removable tray and found out that the advantages of the Mutsy are much greater and I am willing to deal with manuvering my baby into the chair.

First, with the seat reducer for infants, my baby seats much more secure and tight in the seat than in the regular high chair, and he is much more stable. The 5 point harness is much safer as well.

Another big advantage is that the baby hands are actually above the tray, which makes it easy for him to reach whatever is on the tray. In the regular high chair the tray was too high and I had to keep lifting his hands above it to reach his toys.

also, it's nice to know that later we will be able to switch the tray to the bar and just puch the baby to the family table.

I still wish the tray was removable, but we are learning how to put the baby in and out, so it does get easier to put him in and out of the chair.

"Nice lines but needs some work" 2008-12-22
By C. Henry (San Diego)
Really liked the concept and the chair is very usable and will be used for some time to come. The primary complaint is that the tray is not easily removable or adjustable, just took it for granted that all high chairs these days are but this one is not.

As it is with the tray it is very difficult to get our 7 month old's legs into the chair. We have had to use the attachment without the tray. It hasn't been too bad because the height is adjustable and we can slide him up to the table and use that as his tray. That way he eats at the table just like us.

There is also a cushioned booster seat for the little ones but everything else is hard metal and plastic, not an issue for us as it is easy for us to celan. For those looking for a cozy traditional highchair this wouldn't be it. But if you are looking for a sleeker, more modern and long term usable convertable chair this isn't bad, just be aware that the tray is fixed and not adjustable and you may have to teach your baby yoga to squeeze his legs in.
