My only complaint regarding the quality and design of the toy is, as others have stated, the battery case vibrates loudly. To me, it looks well made and designed. However, after the first time my son sat in this bouncer, he never liked it again. It is a very busy toy, which tended to overstimulate him. He got more use from the bouncer once the toy attachment (the expensive part) was removed. He still loves his papasan swing, and the baby einstein exersaucer had a very good run for the money ($40), but I wouldn't bet my $60 on this again.

This is great for taking your baby with you all over the home because it's so light. It provides a safe spot to put your baby down. For example, great for the kitchen (floor or counter top) so your baby can watch you while doing chores. The no-skid feet work well and definitely keep it from sliding.

Some of our friends bouncy chairs didn't cradle her very well but this one does. She is safe and secure and loves the vibration, sometimes she even falls asleep. The sounds and lights are a little over stimulating for her right now but I think she will grow into them.

This product is great. If you are looking to save a little money on a video monitor this is definitely a great purchase. It works perfectly. There is a little interference sometimes but all you have to do to fix that is move it slightly and the interference goes away. I love being able to turn off the screen at night and just have the audio part on. I sleep better with no light in the room but I know if my baby makes a noise I can just flip the switch to turn the screen back on to check on him. I can see him perfectly in the monitor. I love it! :)

This product seems like it would be really great but it's not! Sure it's nice to have a picture of the baby but I found that it was more important to hear the baby and I ended up not using the video part at all. This product is very cheaply made and I was extremely disappointed with all the interference. We tried everything to lessen the interference, by keeping away from computers and other things. It would still make popping noises for no reason and then it started to make a really loud buzzing noise that would not go away. We couldn't even hear the baby through it! Even if these things didn't happen, I still would not care for it! It's way too expensive for what it is! I am returning this and I already bought a nice cheaper monitor for $30 dollars and it works GREAT!

Bought this and when it came out of the box seemed a little cheap. It worked ok as long as you held it very still - lots of static if you walked around with it. I decided to buy a different type of camera and compare it as I thought maybe that is as good as the portable monitors get and figured I would return the one that was the worst. I couldn't believe the difference! The other monitor we purchased was 100% better and I couldn't believe this one was rated over a 1 or 2 on amazon. The Mobi Mobicam was like a childs toy compared with the other monitor we bought. Very happy with my decision to return this product.

If your looking for a basic monitor at a decent price then this is one to consider. Yes there is an occasional static issue but that will depend on what other wireless devices you have surrounded yourself with. The picture quality is decent depending on the light level of the room that the camera is in. The darker the room the less you will see. The unit has an excellent microphone which allows you to hear everything that is going on. The biggest negative towards this monitor is that it eats batteries quickly. Unless you have an endless supply of AA batteries to throw at it then this unit will have to be anchored to the nearest outlet.

i just got it - took fifteen min to setup and had really easy instructions. my son loves it! He's almost 6 months and this past weekend we tried him out in it in the Times Square Toys R Us and he was obsessed and loving it! The next day me and my husband decided we can't deprive our lil cutie from all the fun he would have with this thing, so I called up Toys R Us and they said the previous night was the last day of the sale - the jumperoo was on special for $[...] - a lil disappointing that I could've gotten it for just $[...] but here it's not that much more - at least I didn't pay the full $[...]. Bottom line - get it! Babies love this thing and according to me it's way nicer than the rainforest one plus i know this one you could dissemble to store pretty small.

My son is 6-months now and has been playing in this jumperoo since he was 4 1/2 months old. He smiles and screams in delight when he's in it and jumps till he's tired. Sometimes he would even look back at the toy after we take him out. The colorful toys surrounding the seat are fun to look at and to play with. He was attracted to the parrot right from the start. The music really do promote activity since it plays when he jumps, but you can turn it off or keep the music on too. I prefer not to let him play too long as I worry that he might hurt his neck or twist his ankle when he gets tired 'cuz it can bounce around pretty intensely. Overall though, it's a great activity center.

I'm not a huge fan of Baby Einstein stuff, but my son loved this octopus as an infant. We would play the songs for him again and again and he seemed to like it. One thing they don't show you is that the underbelly of the octopus is colorful and a baby likes to look up at the BOTTOM of the octopus, not just the face part. We hung this toy (has a velcro strap on top) over our son's bassinet when he was awake during the days. When we took it down to play with it with our son, we would sometimes spin it around while he looked at the bottom of it. It held his attention so he must have liked it.



It is soft and (I thought) a decent size. It's true that it doesn't "sit up" well for long. It ends up getting kind of floppy-headed and its head will lean back on its legs when it's set down on the floor. This doesn't affect its use in any way, it's just an annoyance for those of us who keep trying to get its head to sit up nice.



The songs are played by pressing on the head. It IS really sensitive, but that's so a baby can make it work. The color words are played by pressing the circles on the feet. They are too difficult for a baby to work.



I didn't mind the music, although I agree with one reviewer who said one of the songs reminded her of circus music. There is one song which is kind of frentic (I called this one "the crazy song"). The music is very electronic sounding, not soothing. This toy is definitely designed for play time.



My son is almost 2 now and we still have the Octoplush. Here are my observations after having this thing for so long:



1) The toy will go crazy when the batteries are low. Before they stop working, they seem to make the toy act bizarre and work in weird ways. If your Octoplush is acting up, it may be the batteries need to be changed.



2) The songs are long (as one reviewer pointed out). But you can stop the music at any time by pushing one of the buttons on the feet. It'll say "blue" (or whatever color you push) and then be quiet.



3) My son can barely get the feet buttons to work even now. I can get them to work just fine (it's not broken), but even a young child (not a baby) has trouble with it.



4) It's true that you can choose English, French, or Spanish for the color words. That's great, but I can speak enough French and Spanish to tell that some of these words are pronounced so poorly that it's hard to make out what the little electronic voice is saying (some of them make me laugh). Don't expect your child to "pick up" all these words while blithely playing with the Octoplush. The quality is not good enough for that. If the recordings were better (which would be easy for the company to do), then maybe so. This is the main reason why I don't give this toy a 5-star rating. I think this is its biggest fault...the poor quality of the recordings for the words (including the English too).



But that being said, this toy only costs about $12 so I think it's well worth the price.

Got this when LO was 3wks old and I finally was able to get things done around the house!! LOL. It kept him quiet and content and helped with tummy time. His favorite part is the top of the play gym with the sounds and ranging colors (actually thought the butterflies would spin like a mobile which was a downer). It actually keeps him content for quiet awhile-- it was 45mins. at 1 month, and now at 2 months he makes me restart it twice.



His favorite toy (other than the top of the gym) has actually become the elephant rattle. It goes with us everywhere and it's the only toy that he show interesting in grabbing and hitting.



I'd buy this again and again. Just wish the top could actually spin. :(

My daughter wasn't able to interact much with this toy until about 4 months old, but before then she did still enjoy looking around the gym, staring at the brightly colored flashing lights, and cooing at the slightly swaying butterflies ahead. This gym is great because you can switch out the toys. My finance & I switch it up all the time, and we use every attachable toy we have on this gym. It keeps things interesting & surprising for our daughter, who is now 6 months old & enjoying this gym more then ever. She coos & "talks" to the animals & especially loves chewing on the monkey. The monkey has become such a special toy that her dad is thinking of getting it tattooed. It took our daughter Lenore awhile to discover the attachment mirror, and we knew previously that she loved mirrors, but once she has discovered it it is one of her favorites. She will stare in the mirror and smile and seemingly flirt with herself, then attack it with her slobbering mouth. Our baby gets much joy out of this gym! I do wish it were better priced. If it sold for $40 that would be great! But even still, the use & smiles & long play-times we've gotten out of this gym in the past several months, have no doubt been worth the money spent. Also the characters of this Rainforest line by Fisher Price are so cute! All the animals look very friendly & are all smiling in their faces. Quite sweet companions! We loved this gym so much that we purchased the mobile & waterfall soother in the rainforest's theme too, and if I would have known that they made a bouncer, swing & bassinet in this theme, we would have purchased those too!



Great little gym. Charming, sweet, entertaining, versatile, machine washable, easy to assemble & tuck away when not in use. However, this gym is in use, much more than it is not in use! There is not one day that goes by that our little girl doesn't enjoy spending some time with this gym. I will even set her on her belly on a blanket next to the gym & I'll turn on the lights & have the rainforest's sounds going, and it turns into a splendid tummy time activity center! We just hang some favorite toys from the attachment rings & she is thoroughly enthralled. She will roll back & forth now, but does not explore yet far from this gym.



I recommend! If you can afford this gym, I do not believe you'll be disappointed.

I bought the Fisher Price Rainforest playmat based on the reviews from others and based on how much my baby loves our other Fisher Price items - the cradle swing and papasan seat. At first, my baby would fuss when we placed her on the playmat, but now that she is older (2 months) she really loves to lay and stare at the different rainforest animals. Though the music may drive many adults nuts, the Fisher Price people have really honed in on the type of music and rhythms that babies like. It's nice that the rainforest animal components are detachable and that there is a multitude of sensory stimulation.

Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Glider - Butter Bunny

Buy the Bobby travel swing. There is one for a boy and one for a girl. It is low to the floor. It collapses a stores easily. I bought that huge swing that had all the bells and whistles on it. It was the baby soothing center. I had it ready for my little girl when we brought her home and she hated it from day one. We tried for months. I took her to my sisters house and put her in my nephews Boppy travel swing and she fell asleep like that. I tell you it is between 50 and 70 bucks and goes every where with you. Fisher-Price Baby Papasan Infant Seat - Butterfly Pink

We received this as a baby shower gift. For the first two months it was fine. But my son soon outgrew it. He was only 6 lbs at birth and is still within the weight requirements, however, his feet now hang over the edge of the seat.(he is 3 and a half months now) He does like looking in the mirror but gets bored fast.
We bought Fisher-Price Playful Puppy Bouncer for 'grandma's' house and my son LOVES it. It will fit him for months to come and it entertains him. It was cheaper when we ordered it directly from fisher price.
When shopping for the bouncer we found Fisher-Price Hoppy Days Bouncer I am glad we didn't buy this one because we saw it in the stores and the music was very annoying and "electronic" sounding

The only reason I have given this product 2 stars is because my son absolutely loves this bouncer, but it may just be that he would love any bouncer! Sure he enjoys the aquarium colors and the fishes but I think he would enjoy anything with color and the fact that he is upright. We have gone through 2 of these bouncers and had even ordered one for a friend for their baby shower, so we have seen 3 different pieces of this product and they were all defective and of extremely poor quality. The part with the lights and the bubbles and music is what always gets spoiled the first and that too within a month! In both the bouncers that we used the bubbles would start to get extremely loud and drown out the music and scare the baby. He loved to see the bubbles and lights and the fishes moving but the sound was just too loud! We returned the first one but still the same issue in the second one. And our friend tells us the same for her bouncer. And finally after a month or two the lights and noises just stop. It's not as if we have been treating that attachment badly but it just dies after a while. My advice is if you are buying this just think you are buying a bouncer without the attachment or buy another one.Buy Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Bouncer!
