 "Best Bib Ever!" 2009-11-22
By Wyatt's Mama (Omaha, NE)
I was a little skeptical to buy this bib because of the price, but it is the ONLY bib we use and SO worth the price! It catches SO much food in that little pocket! After each feeding, I just rinse it under warm water and hang it upside down from our bottle rack. The neck tie is great because it is adjustable and not velcro, so my son is not able to pull the bib off. My only complaint is that they don't make a bigger one for when my son is a toddler!

 "Best Bibs Around" 2009-11-16
By E. Ballard (Somewhere out WEST)
These are the best feeding bibs around. They are ideal for toddlers around the age of 1-3. The pocket at the bottom of the bib catches dropped food and makes for easy clean-up. The bibs are super easy to wash; I can just throw them in the dishwasher. I have used two bibs every single day for over a year, and they still look brand new. They are also much easier to put on than other similar bibs.

"Why didn't we buy these sooner for our twins?!?!?" 2009-10-24
By Laurie (West Hartford)
These bibs are PERFECT! We have two-and-a-half-year-old twin boys and can't believe we spent the past two years hand-washing six hard-to-clean, forever-to-dry, plasticized cloth pocket bibs every day! We dreaded the nightly bib-washing to the point where we'd put it off only to have *12* nasty bibs to wash the next night! Then we decided to get these, since they said dishwasher-safe AND we'd been very happy with our BabyBjorn baby carriers.

OMG. We wasted so much time and money ($100+) on all those *other* bibs when we could've just used these all along! They are SO easy to clean that it's no problem just owning the two and washing them after each meal!!! They dry quickly or can be easily toweled dry, since they're nonporous/rubbery. We wash'em after breakfast, wash'em after lunch, and usually throw them in the dishwasher after dinner or whenever we run the dishwasher! It took one of our twins a few days to get used to wearing it, but now neither boy has a problem with them. Plus, the pocket is permanently in the "open" catch-all position, which is great for yogurt that drips off the spoon, crumbs and misc. gobs that would otherwise get lost in the high chair and sat on, and the occasional sippy cup milk mishap when the top pops off!

Four big thumbs up from this house!!!!

"Way better than flat bibs, durable, good quality." 2009-10-21
By K. Lam (San Jose, CA)
These Babybjorn bibs beat the pants off regular old flat bibs. It isn't even close. We keep one hung on the diaper/travel bag and one for home use. Eating at home and at restaurants is now a much less messy affair. Every parent should have one (or several) of these.

 "Best bib, hands down!" 2009-10-16
By Maddycat (Wisconsin)
These are by far the best bibs I have ever tried. I honestly can't think of any way that they can be improved, they are perfect as is!

They are ergonomically designed and fit perfectly (I have a 7month old and he can sit comfortably with this bib on- even if he is leaning, any spills still fall into the bib pouch (and not onto his lap or sleeve)! They are a flexible but sturdy plastic, they wash very easily and quickly, even stubborn foods that normally stain (like baby food carrots) do not leave a stain on these bibs. They are curved so you can just set them down on the counter after washing and they dry (even the back side) very quickly. Because of the more rigid plastic, my son can not pull the bib up and put it in his mouth (like he did with all other types of bibs) so that is a plus!

Hands down, the best bib out there- worth the extra money!!

"Keeps baby cool but snug" 2009-10-23
By Leena Couling (Honolulu, HI)
I have a few other kiddopotmus swaddle me's, but this material is exactly what I was looking for. I was given the microfleece one as a gift, and two of the cotton flannel ones. I live in Hawaii so the microfleece one makes the baby over heat unless we cranked up the ac all night, the cotton flannel ones are good too, but a little too stretchy. My baby is now 10 lbs and the small size is still big on her and she loosens the whole thing pretty quickly. The cotton knit material however is perfect. It is soft but not really stretchy so it keeps the baby snug all night without overheating her! Plus its a cute design.

 "worked like a charm" 2009-09-11
By Tashmom (Bloomington, IN USA)
It kept her wrapped all night and was much easier to use than receiving blankets at 3am! Kinda reminds me of a baby straight-jacket, but it worked. My baby has particularly strong legs and was able to kick her legs free and occaisionally get a hand out. But she was always secure when I went to check on her. The fabric is flannel and she got a little hot. But a few wardrobe adjustments took care of that.

 "A must buy" 2009-08-27
By Fresh Fish (New Hampshire)
We are new parents. People told us to swaddle our baby using a blanket. Maybe a 85 year old bubbie would know how to successfully swaddle a baby using only a blanket, but we sure as heck couldn't figure it out. Our baby is very active and would just work his arms out. Not so with the Swaddleme. We ordered this out of exasperation and a need to pin our son's arms down so he could sleep. It's not as bad as it sounds! If his arms aren't swaddled next to his body, he waves them around and wakes himself up--usually crying.

This product makes swaddling idiot proof, The velcro closures are very strong. The design is completely self explanatory. We use it every night at bedtime. He doesn't like the swaddling process, but quiets down immediately once he is secure.

Buy at least 3 of them so you can rotate out the dirty ones. Don't even hesitate!

 "Life saver!!!" 2009-07-30
By Stephanie (Coachella Valley, CA)
We first purchased the 100% cotton SwaddleMe and it worked great for a while, but it stretches too easily. We live in a very hot climate, so I didn't know if flannel would be too great, but bought one to try. It's awesome!!! We're using the same blanket now on a second baby and it's still in great shape. Great quality!! But, I do recommend purchasing at least 2 so you have an extra when you have to wash one post blow-out.:) We revert back to our cotton while washing the flannel, but that doesn't hold the baby's arms in as well because it's too stretchy. The nice thing about these blankets is that the price makes it easy to by multiples of the same as they are so affordable. I was looking for places to buy some more flannel and saw some other swaddle blankets and they are more than double the price I paid for this awesome one. I have no complaints on this product and endorse it 100%. Whatever that's worth from a mom of 3 happy girls. Which makes one happy mom.

"frame flexes, seat slides around, and it has some bad qualities as well." 2009-11-17
By stefan grunspan (paradise)
I should start off by saying my son likes this seat more than his other two potties. I think this is because it gives him some amount of autonomy about going to the potty. Some amount.

This product has two parts: the ladder/step stool and the seat. I'll address each part separately. You place the seat on the toilet bowl and lean the ladder up against the bowl. There's no attachment or any means to secure the seat to the bowl or the ladder to anything.

The ladder is very light weight. So light in fact my two year old can almost manage to put this on the toilet himself. Unfortunately, this light weight is responsible for the very flexible/flimsy nature of the ladder. I can't let him climb it without either holding it or putting my foot on one of the legs so that it doesn't fall over. So much for autonomy. I suppose older children would have an easier time handling a ladder that shifts and flexes under their weight but it is in no case close to ideal.

The seat, I as I mentioned above has no means of attachment to the toilet. What it does have are four pegs, sticking out from the bottom of the seat. When you place the seat on the toilet bowl, the four pegs stick down, inside the bowl, and in theory prevent the seat from sliding off the bowl. Depending on the shape/size of your bowl the seat can be anywhere from a snug fit and doesn't slide around too much to all the way to seat can slide so far to one side that it may actually fall in. Unfortunately, even if the pegs snugly fit inside your bowl the seat isn't secure. If a child leans forward or backwards, like when they are getting on or off the seat, the seat will tilt up enough that the pegs will no longer be in the bowl and the seat will slide into or off the bowl.

I expected a lot more based on the other positive reviews but I just didn't find this to be the case.

 "Great Little Seat" 2009-10-02
By Lattidah (Penacola, FL United States)
The built in step allows my grandson to get on and off by himself. Placing his feet on the step and holding the handles makes him feel more secure than the seat only model. This is the best potty seat I've found.

 "IT WORKS!" 2009-09-14
By M. Pearson (La Porte, TX United States)
We gave up on the regular kind of potty chair that sits on the floor and plays pretty music and in no way resembles the real toilet that we grown-ups use. Now that one is used as a step-stool for washing hands AFTER going potty on the Mommy's Helper Step Up. Our 2-year old is even getting good at unfolding and putting the seat on the toilet. At first, I was a bit worried about her getting her feet in the correct position while climbing up because the potty seat can be tippy if she puts all her weight on one side, but she has adjusted well to this problem. Since her feet do not yet reach the blue step while sitting on the potty, the ladder part tends to flip up when she is trying to get up and down too. I think both these problems are because she is a bit tiny for her age, so I'm not sure I can actually blame the product. I do wish it had TWO (2) steps instead of just the one, but there's probably a good reason why it does not (I'm not an engineer). Regardless, it is the only thing that inspired her to really "go" potty instead of standing in the bowl of the cute pink princess one just to make the music play. Since she can reach the toilet paper now, I'm trying to teach her to only use a few squares of toilet paper instead of unrolling half the roll!

 "Not fabulous" 2009-08-29
By R. Marrin
My 21 month old is so excited to use the potty, I feel that this seat is just dangerous. On her second attempt to use it alone, she slid down and almost hit the floor head first. The legs are not really that sturdy (at least not against a tile floor) and it does not at all fit on our elongated seat -- it actually slides around on it, which is even more irritating. I've already taken it down b/c the whole point is to have her go independently and I can't allow it if I'm nervous she's going to hurt herself. Ugh...on to the next...

 "A product with potential." 2009-08-04
By Kellie Pease (Derby, CT)
I got this potty seat and put it together in a few minutes. I brought it in the bathroom to let my son try it, but it didn't seem to sit on the seat well, and the step wasn't feeling secure. I looked at the box and realized that this is meant to sit on the toilet BOWL not the SEAT. I kind of wasn't crazy about that but when I tried it, it fit pretty well.

I let my son climb up when I had it secure. I can't say it was wobbly, but I wouldn't say it was rock solid either. I like the fact that it has handles as my son was holding onto the toilet before. It seems pretty comfortable to him. We had to trouble with pee coming out the front, but we didn't have in issue with him like with my first son, who needed the deflector. The seat does its job, I just wasn't impressed.

Pros: Step up

Fairly secure

Comfortable

Cons: No deflector (an issue for some boys)

Not super-sturdy

Seat covering doesn't seem like it will last long

The last issue we had, not with the product but with our own lack of forethought was this: When my son pulls his pants down to go to the bathroom, he cannot climb the step. He needs to take them off. (The step does not feel wide enough or sturdy enough for him to step up. turn around, then pull down.) So, instead of making it easier by giving him more independence, I either still have to pick him up to the seat or help him redress himself when he is done.

I feel that this is a decent product, giving the child a hand-hold and foot rest so that they feel comfortable when going to the bathroom. As a tool for independence, that would depend entirely on the child. For us, it seems a step stool and a simple seat would be better as the step stool can then be used for hand-washing.

 "batteries run down quickly" 2009-11-18

I bought this for my daycare babies 3 weeks ago & have used one D battery per day ( not good for a few hrs use considering I use energizer). I am an infant specialist & was hoping for better... I also have a 20lb child that doesn't fit in it well either. Good for what it's worth (under 4 months) but I will purchase something else as a replacement.

 "Wonderful Bouncer" 2009-10-02
By Jennifer Fite (Phoenix, AZ)
With my first two children, I used a very basic/cheap bouncer that was the equivalent of a piece of fabric strapped between a metal frame that could vibrate. This is defnitely a step up. The base is quite wide (reducing the fear that baby will roll or bounce the wrong way and flip it). The seat back is also roomy, allowing for bigger/wider babies. The footrest area has a nice amount of padding so that if baby kicks down where the vibrating mechanism is, he/she won't hurt those precious little heels. It sits a little higher off the floor as well, making it easier to lift baby in and out and I also love the removable padded headrest for littler babies. My only complaint about this bouncer is the fairly long and annoying tune played by the middle toy (overhead bar) when pulled. After 4 or 5 tugs, I could imagine wishing I could turn it off, but I haven't found a way to do so yet. I'm really looking forward to using this with my newest little one when she comes.

"SIMPLY THE BEST bouncer on the planet" 2009-09-21
By H. L. Cross (Nashville, TN)
I got this bouncer from my mother. She bought it to use with my neice and It is the itsy bitsy blue version and it is so solid and well built and the detachable washable fabric holds up so well and doesnt' show wear after many washings. Baby recently tried to flip it (we are not going to use it anymore he is now 4 months) but it wouldn't budge. the legs on this baby are 3 times as thick and sturdy as a bright *wallyworld* starts brand. We needed 2 of about everything since we have a huge staircase in our home. battery pack is great. We used this hours a day and only changed batteries about on average once a month! Invest! This is going to be the most used thing you buy in the beginning. It is a Sturdy little work horse. I am missing it already. I will hold on to this for the next kid for sure.

 "Absolutely Essential" 2009-09-18

This bouncer is a must for babies newborn on up. Our little girl is nearly eight months old and still loves this very durable chair. The vibrating feature is nice when the baby is new but becomes less necessary in time. She still loves the dangling frog and pulls the string often. Our little girl has taken inumerable naps in this chair. When visiting relatives in the midwest, I bought another one and had it shipped so we'd have it there. Can wash cover if stained. A great value.

"Great entertainer!!!! (Mom of 4 month old)" 2009-11-20
By Christopher F. Savidge
My son loves this gym. He squeals and chatters away while playing on it. It has been a lifesaver for me due to Jack being such a high need baby (Needs to be held most of the time, and more fussy than not). He has spent over 45 minutes playing on this mat!!! The music is really fun, and the lights are a nice touch. Jack has been using this from about 2 months of age on, and loves to grab and shake the rattle (which is not cloudy on my mat) and will grab and shake the other toys at the same time. It is so much fun to hear him having such a good time : )

Baby Einstein Baby Neptune Ocean Adventure Gym Baby Einstein Baby Neptune Ocean Adventure Gym

We received this mat as a gift for our 2 month old and it's definitely been the toy that's captivated him the most thus far.

Pros: He really likes the mirror and it is easy to position the dangling toys so that he can hit and kick them, which causes him (and us) endless amusement :) The mat feels nice and there is a lot to entertain him.

Cons: I laundered the mat per instructions after our son was sick on it. It cleaned up fine, but came out of the washer covered in what looks like tiny pieces of tissue, which could possibly be a choking hazard. I've only had to wash it once so far, so I don't know if that happens every time, but it was a pain to clean it up before leaving it to dry. Also, the electronic toy is not my favourite - the flashing lights are fast and erratic and after getting down to my son's level and looking at it from the same distance as he was, I ended up switching it off because it just seemed like way too much stimulation; there was no pattern to the lights and they were sooo much faster than the music it just didn't seem like a good idea to have that happening 6' from my sons eyes.

So in conclusion, using it without the electronic toy, it's a great product. Lots to see and play with and most importantly, my son likes it. As a gift, I'm happy with it. If we'd paid $[...] for it, I'd probably return it and get a mat with a different lights/sound component.

 "The best I've found!" 2009-10-19
By Nevin's Mommy (PA)
I have gotten several different play mats for my 4 month old and none of them entertained him, but this one does. He'll sit for up to 30min. on his own laughing and making noises on this mat!

Strengths:

-Very colorful and grabs his attention

-Lights and music (can be set to activate by motion, touch, or to play for 15min. which is the longest I've found) this is what sold me on the product!

-Tons of attachable and detachable toys that could be used in cribs and playpens

-Great sized mirror

-Whale pillow, which he loves to use for tummy time and supervised

-Easy to store and move around

-Can see him using it for months to come!

Negative:

-One of the toys is really strange (two round/flat discs) that I removed and I don't see him playing with

This is a must for anyone with a little one!! It gives you a little time in the day to get a few things done and the babies LOVE it!!!

"Feels Cheap Compared to Other Playmats" 2009-10-15
By amk (New York State)
I chose this playmat because of the positive reviews. I was disappointed. I received a Tiny Love playmat as a gift, and I highly recommend it over this one. My biggest issue is the cheapness of the material--both the feel and the images. There's little threads hanging out all over it. It's also more complicated to put together compared to Tiny Love. The hanging toys are mediocre at best. There's one rattle my twins really enjoy so I actually tranferred it to the other playmat.
